This is a sketch I did on the plane. I'll post a better picture when I get a chance to scan it properly.

Featured in ImagineFX #57!!!
Hello All,
I am featured in the latest issue of ImagineFX, issue #57! If you flip to page 62, you can see some of my work in the "Sketchbook" section. Unfortunately, my website's URL was not properly spelled... You'll see what I mean. But if you're reading this, I guess it doesn't matter, since you found me!
A BIG thanks to Beren Neale, Staff Writer at ImagineFX, for setting it all up! You're a good man.
Until next time, folks! (scroll down for my portfolio)

Sneak Peek!

Here is an exclusive look at one of my several upcoming projects! More details will be made available in the coming months, so be sure to check back for the latest news!
These trading cards are the size of standard baseball cards, and each are original drawings I will be doing myself. The card backs will feature unique designs, specific to each set's theme. The cards above were made for DeviantArt.com members, and this is the first time I've shown them online!
Once I launch this project, I will be releasing different themed sets of cards. Some will be reprinted works, and there will be plenty of opportunities to get your very own sketch card!
Until next time!

Wondercon 2010 recap
Hello, folks!
Well, Wondercon 2010 has come and gone, and it was fun while it lasted. MANY thanks to Francis up at Capcom for being so kind as to invite me to be a part of the booth this year! Also, a big thanks to my buddy Eric for making it all possible! It was a fantastic experience, and I look forward to many more in the future.
So, here's a little visual journal of the trip...
It started with a nice drive at 4:30 in the morning, when nature called. It was a brisk 41 degrees when I got out of the car; which, by the standards of you in the Midwest and East Coast, is a warm day, but for we Californians, it's pretty chilly.

The drive up to San Francisco on the I-5 really isn't all that scenic. A few cows, some wind power generators, and a lot of open sky.

Here we are at the Moscone Center, in the wee hours of Wondercon opening its doors to the fans.

A little shot of the Capcom booth...

And here I am, alongside one of the Street Fighter Lead Designers, Long Vo. Long is a great guy, and he and his counterpart, Koi, were a big help over the weekend.

This kid would not stop bothering me. Kept asking for candy and sketches, so I had to call in security. Casey-kun!

I didn't have much time to photograph my sketches, and there were a few that I really wish I did, but here are couple. The Spongebob Ryu was for Francis' son, and Spawn even made it into the mix. :)

I wish I had more pictures, but it was a rough drive. Then, once the Con started rolling, it was a mad dash to the finish. There will be more events like this coming up, so keep checking in to see what's next!
I hear San Diego is nice in July...

Capcom-ania!!!

Street Fighters galore! So, here are a few more SF sketches. From top to bottom, they are:
Crimson Viper
I roughed in the layout with pencil, inked it with a brush pen, then finished it off with Copic markers.
Sagat
This was roughed out with pencil first, inked with a brush pen, then finished with Copics again.
One of these days I'll have to post how rough my pencils are when I work with a brush pen as my next step. The pencil sketch isn't pretty, but it gives me enough information to use as guidelines, while also keeping the drawing fresh. I don't like ink over perfect pencil lines these days. I tend to lose focus much quicker, so I need to keep it fresh.
Chun Li
Jimnie Light ballpoint pen sketch, again, while I was in a meeting.
Guile
Brush pen on paper, with tone paper texture added in PS. "BOOM, baby!"
Saturday, March 20, 2010

We have a weekly sketch group at the office, and this was one of my contributions. The theme was "Crunch Babies," masterfully conceived by KWESTONE, via word mash. So, as you can see, my "babies" are crunching various objects, with the last one being a quite literal take on the phrase.
Clone Trooper Getaway
Blue Girl and Snake Eyes

Meetings at the office can sometimes drag on a little long, so when that happens, I start doodling. The blue girl was done with my trusty Jimnie Light and a white gel pen.
Snake Eyes was done with a fine-tip, ballpoint pen. The penny is there for scale, and not because I scan all my money and keep track of its whereabouts.
